2 cups rolled oats
¼ cup shortening
2 teaspoons white sugar
1 cup warm water (100 degrees F (38 degrees C))
2 (.25 ounce) packages active dry yeast
⅔ cup molasses

8 ½ cups all-purpose flour, or as needed
