Steps:
- 1. Heat griddle: slightly oil it. Combine bran, flour, sugar, and baking powder. Add combined milk, oil, and egg white; mix well. Pour scant 1/4 cup batter onto griddle. Turn pancakes when tops are covered with bubbles and edges look cooked.
Tips:
- Use ripe bananas: The riper the bananas, the sweeter and more flavorful your pancakes will be.
- Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter will make your pancakes tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
- Use a non-stick skillet: A non-stick skillet will help to prevent your pancakes from sticking.
- Cook the pancakes over medium heat: Medium heat will help to prevent your pancakes from burning.
- Flip the pancakes only once: Once the pancakes start to bubble around the edges, it's time to flip them. Don't flip them too early or they will break.
Conclusion:
Oat bran pancakes are a healthy and delicious breakfast option that are easy to make. They're a good source of fiber, protein, and vitamins and minerals. Plus, they're a great way to use up ripe bananas. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy breakfast, give oat bran pancakes a try!
