Time 35m

Yield 9 brownies

Number Of Ingredients 11

Nonstick cooking spray, for the pan
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1 pinch ground cinnamon
1 cup almond or cashew butter
1/3 cup maple syrup
2 tablespoons melted ghee, butter or coconut oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1/2 cup toasted chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the cocoa powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. In a separate bowl, mix together the almond butter, syrup, ghee, vanilla and eggs. Mix the wet into the dry and then fold in the walnuts.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan. Bake until the brownies are firm but still soft in the middle, 20 to 23 minutes.

Tips:

  • Choose the right nut butter. Any type of nut butter can be used, but some common choices include peanut butter, almond butter, and cashew butter. For a richer flavor, use a dark roasted nut butter.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing will result in tough brownies. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the brownies until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs attached. Overbaking will result in dry brownies.
  • Let the brownies cool completely before cutting them. This will help them to set and prevent them from falling apart.

Conclusion:

These nut butter brownies are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that are perfect for any occasion. They are fudgy, chewy, and packed with chocolate and nut flavor. They are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them!
