vegetable oil

  • Pour oil to the depth of 2 inches in fry pan; heat to 375°F.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients. This will make a big difference in the flavor and texture of your beignets.
  • Make sure the milk and butter are lukewarm. This will help the yeast to activate and rise.
  • Do not overmix the dough. Overmixing will make the beignets tough.
  • Let the dough rise in a warm place for at least 30 minutes. This will help the beignets to become light and fluffy.
  • When frying the beignets, make sure the oil is hot enough. If the oil is not hot enough, the beignets will absorb too much oil and become greasy.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan when frying the beignets. This will prevent them from cooking evenly.
  • Serve the beignets hot and fresh. They are best enjoyed with powdered sugar.
