Tips for Making the Best Nectarine-Plum Crisps:

  • Choose ripe, flavorful nectarines and plums. This will ensure that your crisps are bursting with flavor.
  • Be sure to pit the plums before slicing them. If you don't, the pits will make your crisps bitter.
  • Use a sharp knife to slice the nectarines and plums. This will help prevent them from tearing.
  • Don't overcrowd the ramekins. Leave some space between the fruit so that it can cook evenly.
  • Bake the crisps until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling. This will take about 30 minutes.
  • Serve the crisps warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
