MUSHROOMS IN PUFF PASTRY
This is a really easy recipe that looks and tastes like it took hours to make. It calls for wild mushrooms, but you can use any or a mixture of whatever is in season. If you can't find the pastry squares, you may use the round ones that have the removeable tops.

Tips for Making the Perfect Mushroom Phyllo Puff Pastry Appetizers:
- Choose fresh, flavorful mushrooms. Look for mushrooms that are firm and have a deep, earthy aroma. Avoid mushrooms that are bruised or slimy.
- Don't overcrowd the pan when cooking the mushrooms. This will prevent them from cooking evenly and becoming soggy.
- Season the mushrooms generously with salt and pepper. This will help to bring out their natural flavor.
- Use a sharp knife to cut the phyllo dough. This will help to prevent the dough from tearing.
- Brush the phyllo dough with melted butter before baking. This will help to create a golden, crispy crust.
- Serve the mushroom phyllo puff pastry appetizers immediately after they are baked. This will ensure that they are crispy and flavorful.
