Tips:

  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients: The quality of your ingredients will greatly impact the taste of your hamburger pie. Choose fresh, lean ground beef, ripe vegetables, and a flavorful cheese.
  • Don't overcook the beef: Overcooked beef will be dry and tough. Cook it just until it is no longer pink in the center.
  • Use a variety of vegetables: The more vegetables you use, the more flavorful and nutritious your hamburger pie will be. Some good options include onions, carrots, celery, green peppers, and corn.
  • Season the beef and vegetables well: Don't be afraid to use plenty of salt, pepper, and other seasonings to flavor the beef and vegetables. This will help to create a delicious and flavorful filling.
  • Use a good quality cheese: The cheese is one of the key ingredients in hamburger pie, so it's important to use a good quality cheese that melts well. Some good options include cheddar, mozzarella, and Swiss.
  • Don't overcook the pie: The pie is done when the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Overcooking the pie will dry out the beef and vegetables.

Conclusion:

Hamburger pie is a delicious and easy-to-make meal that is perfect for a weeknight dinner. It is a great way to use up leftover ground beef, and it can be easily customized to your liking. With a few simple tips, you can make a hamburger pie that is sure to please everyone at the table.
