1-1/2 cups butter, softened
2 cups sugar
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1/2 cup light molasses
4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
FROSTING:
1-1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
3 tablespoons butter, softened
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 to 2 tablespoons whole milk

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and molasses. Combine dry ingredients; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. , Roll into walnut-sized balls. 1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
