MINTY WATERMELON & FETA CHEESE SALAD

Minty Watermelon & Feta Cheese Salad image

I have so many favourite salads, but in the summer this is it for me. You could substitute any melon, any cheese. Prep time is chilling time. I put the diced melon in the freezer, checking after 20 minutes.

Tips:

  • Choose ripe and juicy watermelon: The key to a refreshing and flavorful watermelon salad is using ripe and juicy watermelon. Look for watermelons that are heavy for their size and have a deep red color. Avoid watermelons with bruises or soft spots.
  • Cut the watermelon into bite-sized pieces: To make it easier to eat, cut the watermelon into small, bite-sized pieces. You can use a sharp knife or a melon baller to do this.
  • Use fresh mint: Fresh mint adds a refreshing and aromatic flavor to the salad. If you don't have fresh mint, you can use dried mint, but it won't be as flavorful.
  • Add some sweetness: Watermelon is naturally sweet, but you can add some additional sweetness to the salad with honey, agave nectar, or another natural sweetener.
  • Add some crunch: To add some crunch to the salad, you can add some chopped nuts, seeds, or granola.
  • Serve the salad chilled: Watermelon salad is best served chilled. You can chill it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Conclusion:

Watermelon salad is a refreshing, healthy, and delicious summer dish. It's easy to make and can be customized to your liking. Whether you like it sweet, savory, or somewhere in between, there's a watermelon salad recipe out there for you. So next time you're looking for a light and refreshing summer dish, give watermelon salad a try. You won't be disappointed.
