Tips:

  • Use high-quality ground beef. The better the quality of the beef, the better the meatloaf will be. Look for ground beef that is at least 80% lean.
  • Don't overmix the meatloaf mixture. Overmixing will make the meatloaf tough. Just mix the ingredients until they are evenly combined.
  • Use a loaf pan that is the right size for your meatloaf mixture. A loaf pan that is too large will make the meatloaf too thin, and a loaf pan that is too small will make the meatloaf too thick. A 9x5-inch loaf pan is a good size for a 2-pound meatloaf.
  • Cook the meatloaf at the right temperature and for the right amount of time. The internal temperature of the meatloaf should reach 160 degrees Fahrenheit. Cook the meatloaf for 1 hour and 15 minutes to 2 hours, or until it is cooked through.
  • Let the meatloaf rest before slicing it. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing it. This will help the meatloaf stay moist and juicy.
