Tips:

  • Use a variety of ground meats. This will give your meatloaf a more complex flavor. You can use a combination of ground beef, ground pork, and ground veal, or any other combination of ground meats that you like.
  • Don't overmix the meatloaf. Overmixing can make the meatloaf tough. Just mix the ingredients until they are well combined.
  • Let the meatloaf rest before baking. This will help the meatloaf hold together better and will prevent it from shrinking too much in the oven.
  • Use a meat thermometer to make sure the meatloaf is cooked through. The internal temperature of the meatloaf should reach 160 degrees Fahrenheit before you remove it from the oven.
  • Make sure the glaze is thick enough. If the glaze is too thin, it will run off the meatloaf and pool at the bottom of the pan. To thicken the glaze, you can add a cornstarch slurry or some flour.
  • Broil the meatloaf for a few minutes before serving. This will give the glaze a nice caramelized crust.

Conclusion:

Meatloaf is a classic comfort food that is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. With a variety of glazes to choose from, you can customize the flavor of your meatloaf to suit your own taste. So next time you're looking for a hearty and satisfying meal, give meatloaf a try. You won't be disappointed!
