Each sauce complements the salmon perfectly, offering a unique flavor profile that will tantalize your taste buds. Whether you prefer the classic elegance of the lemon-herb sauce, the vibrant and refreshing notes of the orange-ginger sauce, or the sweet and tangy kick of the honey-mustard sauce, you're sure to find a sauce that suits your palate.

MAPLE GLAZED SALMON FILLET
Steps:
- Gather the ingredients.
- Lay salmon fillets on a piece of paper towel and dry carefully. Check fish over for any bones. Remove with tweezers if you find any. Lay fillets side by side in a glass or ceramic dish.
- Combine maple syrup, lemon juice, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger and mix thoroughly. Add chile flakes and stir again.
- Pour marinade over salmon. Cover and let marinate for 20 minutes at room temperature. Turn after 10 minutes, so all sides of fillets come into contact with marinade.
- Heat a griddle or cast-iron frying pan over high and add oil. Heat until hot but not smoking.
- Take fillets one at a time from marinade and carefully transfer to pan. Cook 2 minutes.
- Reduce heat to medium and cook fillets for 4 minutes.
- Then flip over and cook for an additional 4 minutes. Remove from pan and keep warm.
- While salmon is cooking, transfer marinade to a small saucepan and bring to a gentle boil. Reduce to create a thick, syrupy sauce, then strain.

MAPLE-GLAZED SALMON
Delicious maple-glazed salmon is a little on the sweet side, but not too much. The whole house smells wonderful when this is cooking; it's a great warm winter meal! I have a hard time finding good recipes my family likes with fish, since my husband is not fond of lemon. This is a perfect compromise!

Salmon is my number one favorite "meat" so I'm always looking for a variety of ways to cook it. Here is another of several ways I like to prepare it. (I only make this with REAL maple syrup, so can't vouch for the results if you substitute.)

MAPLE GLAZED SALMON FILLETS
Found this recipe in All*You Eat Well, Save Big Cookbook. I haven't tried it yet but it sounds simple and delicious. I would use fresh garlic as I always have that around instead of garlic powder.

Steps:
- 1. In a small heavy saucepan, simmer maple syrup, ginger, lemon juice, soy sauce, and garlic until reduced to about 1 cup, around 30 minutes and let cool.(Maple glaze may be made up to 2 days ahead and chilled, covered. Bring maple glaze to room temperature before proceeding.) The house is going to smell so good.
- 2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly oil a shallow baking pan large enough to hold salmon. Reserve 1/2 cup of glaze. Place salmon skin side down and brush with glaze. Season Salmon with salt and pepper if needed. Bake in middle of oven until just cooked through, about 20 minutes. (Baste with more glaze during baking) Heat reserve glaze over low heat to use as a sauce. Keep glaze warm, covered. Serve with sliced lemon and glaze.
Tips:
- Choose the right salmon fillets: Look for fillets that are about 1 inch thick and have a firm, even texture. Avoid fillets that are thin or have any signs of bruising or discoloration.
- Marinate the salmon fillets: Marinating the salmon fillets in a mixture of maple syrup, olive oil, and spices will help to add flavor and moisture to the fish. You can marinate the fillets for as little as 30 minutes or up to overnight.
- Cook the salmon fillets over medium heat: Cooking the salmon fillets over medium heat will help to prevent them from overcooking and drying out. Cook the fillets for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through and flaky.
- Make the maple glaze: While the salmon fillets are cooking, make the maple glaze by combining maple syrup, butter, and spices in a saucepan. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until it has thickened slightly.
- Brush the salmon fillets with the maple glaze: Once the salmon fillets are cooked, brush them with the maple glaze. This will help to add a sweet and sticky coating to the fish.
Conclusion:
Maple glazed salmon fillets are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for any occasion. The combination of sweet maple syrup and savory spices creates a flavor that is sure to please everyone. Serve the salmon fillets with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or rice.
