Steps:
- 1. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE YEILD AMOUNT IS NOT AS MUCH AS YOU WOULD GET IF YOU WERE USING REGULAR SUGAR. So plan accordingly if you want to serve a lot of people this lower calorie version.
- 2. These are the main ingredients in this recipe.
- 3. Add the Truvia and the water to a medium size sauce pan. Bring to a boil, then add the cranberries. Continue to cook for about 10 minutes until cranberries begin to burst. Stir to prevent from sticking.
- 4. Cook until mixture is thickened and most of the cranberries have burst. Remove from heat, add the orange and butter extracts, then stir to blend. Allow to sit till thickened. Serve and enjoy.
Tips:
- Choose fresh, ripe cranberries. This will ensure that your sauce has the best flavor and texture.
- Don't overcook the cranberries. Overcooked cranberries will become mushy and lose their tartness.
- Add sugar or other sweetener to taste. The amount of sweetener you add will depend on your personal preference.
- Use a variety of spices to flavor your sauce. Common spices used in cranberry sauce include cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
- Let your sauce cool before serving. This will allow the flavors to meld and develop.
