Categories     beverage

Time 10m

Yield 4 drinks

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 cup packed fresh mint leaves
1/2 cup fresh lime juice
1/2 cup simple syrup
2 cups coconut water, chilled
1 cup white rum, chilled
4 thin lime rounds, for garnish (optional)

Steps:

  • Put the mint, lime juice and simple syrup in a pitcher. Muddle the mint leaves with the end of a wooden spoon until crushed. Pour in the coconut water and rum. Add ice to fill the pitcher, and stir to combine. Pour into glasses and garnish each with a lime round, if using.

Tips:

  • For the best flavor, use fresh limes and coconut water. Bottled or canned lime juice and coconut water can be used, but they will not produce as flavorful a mojito.
  • If you don't have a lime squeezer, you can use a fork to extract the juice from the limes.
  • To make a non-alcoholic mojito, simply omit the rum.
  • Garnish your mojitos with lime wedges and mint sprigs for a refreshing presentation.
  • These mojitos can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 hours.

Conclusion:

With its invigorating blend of sweet, sour, and refreshing flavors, the lime and coconut mojito is a delightful cocktail that is perfect for any occasion. Whether you're hosting a party or simply enjoying a relaxing evening at home, this mojito is sure to impress. So gather your ingredients, grab a glass, and let's get mixing!
