Steps:
- Combine shrimp, sauce, lemon juice and lemon peel in small saucepan. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until heated through (do not boil). Serve over pasta. Sprinkle with parsley.
Tips:
- Use fresh shrimp: Fresh shrimp will give your scampi the best flavor. If you can't find fresh shrimp, frozen shrimp will also work, but be sure to thaw them completely before cooking.
- Don't overcook the shrimp: Shrimp cooks very quickly, so be careful not to overcook it. Overcooked shrimp will be tough and rubbery.
- Use a good quality white wine: The white wine you use in your scampi will make a big difference in the final flavor of the dish. Choose a wine that you would enjoy drinking on its own.
- Add some vegetables to your scampi: Vegetables such as asparagus, broccoli, and bell peppers can add color and flavor to your scampi. If you are using vegetables, be sure to cook them until they are tender but still have a little bit of crunch.
- Serve your scampi over pasta or rice: Scampi is traditionally served over pasta or rice. However, you can also serve it over other grains, such as quinoa or couscous.
Conclusion:
Lemon pepper shrimp scampi is a quick and easy dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. It is also elegant enough to serve at a dinner party. With its bright flavors and succulent shrimp, this dish is sure to please everyone at the table.
