LEMON BASIL ORANGE ROUGHY

Lemon Basil Orange Roughy image

I HATE FISH. Hubby loves fish. He had a heart attack and it's good for him to eat fish. I tried being supportive to him and setting a good example for the kids in the process. Didn't work out so well. Me sitting there forcing the stuff down with my nose plugged like it was bad medicine. So I make this for them, and I have chicken. Looks somewhat similar, and still sets that good example.... You can use any white fish for this.

Tips:

  • Select Fresh Fish: Choose firm and brightly colored orange roughy fillets with no off-odors.
  • Proper Thawing: If using frozen fillets, thaw them in the refrigerator overnight or in a sealed bag submerged in cold water for 30 minutes.
  • Seasoning: Use a combination of salt, pepper, and herbs like thyme, rosemary, or dill to enhance the flavor of the fish before cooking.
  • Lemon and Orange: The acidic flavors of lemon and orange complement the mild taste of orange roughy and brighten up the dish.
  • Cooking Methods: Orange roughy can be cooked using various methods such as grilling, baking, pan-frying, or steaming. Choose a method that suits your preference and the desired texture.
