PARTY PUNCH (KID- FRIENDLY)

Party Punch (Kid- Friendly) image

This is a light, refreshing punch that is good for a party or shower...I made it for a family Christmas party and used lime sherbet, but I think any variety of sherbet would work well. At a family party of 25 people that had choices of soda-pop, beer, coffee, wine or punch--2/3 chose this punch, and several people asked for the recipe, including my 26 year old male cousin.

KID FRIENDLY PUNCH

Kid Friendly Punch image

My granddaughter wanted to have a Halloween/Birthday Party (her birthday is on Oct. 9th). My job was to make a punch for the party that was kid friendly. Well this punch was a huge hit! They loved it. I put gummy body parts, eye balls, ears, fingers, in my ice cube trays and froze them and then added them to my punch. It was...

Time 15m

Number Of Ingredients 4

24 gummy candies, like eyeballs, fingers, ears, worms, spiders, or bugs
1 gal tropical fruit punch, chilled
2 l lemon-lime soda, chilled
1 qt raspberry sherbert

Steps:

  • 1. Put your gummy candy in ice cube trays; add water and freeze. (I did mine the night before) I also had a candy tray that had pumpkins, bats, ghost and a skull in them and froze them too and added that to the punch.
  • 2. You will need at least a 7 quart punch bowl, combine the punch and the soda. Add the sherbert and your ice cubs. Serve
  • 3. Note: If you can not find raspberry sherbert then you can use the rainbow sherbert or a raspberry sherbert mix. I just prefer the raspberry sherbert in my punches.

Tips:

  • Choose a festive punch bowl: A clear glass bowl allows guests to see the colorful layers of the punch. Look for a bowl that is large enough to hold all of the ingredients and that has a sturdy base.
  • Use a variety of fruits: A combination of fresh, frozen, and canned fruits adds flavor and color to the punch. Some good choices include oranges, pineapple, strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries.
  • Add some sweetness: Sugar, honey, or agave nectar can be used to sweeten the punch. Start with a small amount and add more to taste.
  • Choose a sparkling beverage: Club soda, ginger ale, or sparkling water can be used to add fizz to the punch. Avoid using beverages that are too sweet, as they can make the punch too sugary.
  • Garnish the punch: A few slices of fruit, a sprig of mint, or a dollop of whipped cream can add a festive touch to the punch.

Conclusion:

Kid-friendly punch is a delicious and refreshing treat that is perfect for parties and special occasions. With a few simple ingredients, you can easily make a punch that everyone will enjoy. So next time you're looking for a fun and festive drink to serve, give one of these kid-friendly punch recipes a try.
