Time 2h40m

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 lg pkg oreo cookies crushed
1 stick butter, softened
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 c powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
3 c milk
2 sm pkg instant vanilla pudding
12 oz cool whip

Steps:

  • 1. In a 9x13in pan spread 1/2 of the crushed oreos. Set aside.
  • 2. Mix together the butter, cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Set aside.
  • 3. In a seperate bowl whisk milk and pudding. Then mix in Cool Whip.
  • 4. Take cream cheese mixture that you set aside and pour in the pudding mixture and mix together.
  • 5. Pour this mixture on top of the oreos in the pan you set aside before.
  • 6. Take the other half of the oreos and spread on top of pudding mixture. Set flat in fridge for 2 hrs or until set.

Tips:

  • Make sure the cream cheese is softened before using. This will help it mix smoothly with the other ingredients.
  • To easily crush the graham crackers, place them in a large zip-top bag and use a rolling pin to crush them into fine crumbs.
  • Be careful not to overmix the batter. Overmixing can cause the cake to be tough.
  • If you don't have a springform pan, you can use a regular 9-inch cake pan. Just be sure to grease and flour the pan before adding the batter.
  • Bake the cake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. This should take about 30-35 minutes.
  • Let the cake cool completely before refrigerating. This will help it set properly.
  • Once the cake is chilled, be sure to serve it with whipped cream or your favorite ice cream.

Conclusion:

Kansas dirt cake is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. With its creamy layers, chocolatey filling, and crushed graham cracker crust, this cake is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
