Tips:

  • Soften the butter and cream cheese to room temperature: This will make it easier to cream together and will result in a smoother cookie dough.
  • Use a stand or hand mixer to cream the butter, cream cheese, and sugars together: This will help to incorporate air into the dough, making it light and fluffy.
  • Gradually add the eggs one at a time: This will help to prevent the dough from curdling.
  • Add the flour and baking soda in increments: This will help to prevent the dough from becoming too dry or tough.
  • Stir in the raisins: Be gentle so that you don't break them up too much.
  • Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking: This will help the cookies to hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
  • Bake the cookies at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-12 minutes: This will give you soft and chewy cookies that are golden brown on the edges.
  • Let the cookies cool on a wire rack before serving: This will help them to firm up and prevent them from falling apart.
