Tips:

  • Choose the right sausage. Johnsonville Breakfast Sausage is a popular choice for sausage balls, but you can use any type of sausage you like. If you want a spicier sausage ball, use a spicy sausage. If you want a milder sausage ball, use a mild sausage.
  • Use a good quality cheese. The cheese is one of the main ingredients in sausage balls, so it's important to use a good quality cheese. Cheddar cheese is a classic choice, but you can also use other types of cheese, such as mozzarella, Parmesan, or pepper Jack.
  • Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing the dough will make the sausage balls tough. Mix the dough just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the dough before baking. Chilling the dough will help the sausage balls hold their shape better. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking.
  • Bake the sausage balls at a high temperature. Baking the sausage balls at a high temperature will help them get crispy on the outside and cooked through on the inside. Bake the sausage balls at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 15-20 minutes.

Conclusion:

Sausage balls are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that are perfect for any occasion. They are also a great way to use up leftover sausage. With just a few simple ingredients, you can make a batch of sausage balls that will be sure to please everyone.
