Tips:

  • Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor.
  • If you don't have a pastry blender, you can use two forks to cut the butter into the flour.
  • Be sure to chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before rolling it out. This will help prevent the cookies from spreading too much in the oven.
  • Roll the dough out to a thickness of 1/4 inch. If the dough is too thick, the cookies will be too dense. If the dough is too thin, the cookies will be too crispy.
  • Use a sharp knife to cut the cookies into even shapes. This will help them bake evenly.
  • Bake the cookies at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-12 minutes, or until they are just beginning to brown around the edges.
  • Let the cookies cool on a wire rack before frosting them.
  • If you don't have any strawberry jam, you can use your favorite fruit preserves instead.
  • You can also add a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of ice cream to the top of each cookie before serving.

Conclusion:

These strawberry shortcake cookies are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion. They are made with fresh strawberries, a sweet and buttery crust, and a creamy frosting. These cookies are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them!
