- In a small saucepan, heat 1 cup reserved pear juice to boiling. Pour over lime gelatin in a small bowl; stir until dissolved. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese with milk until smooth. Blend in gelatin mixture. Chill in the refrigerator until partially thickened, about 20 to 30 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mash pears until smooth. Fold pears and whipped topping into gelatin mixture. Pour into a mold. Chill until set, about 2 to 3 hours.
- Dip mold in warm water for approximately 5 seconds. Invert onto a serving plate

EASY PEAR LIME JELL-O SALAD

- Pour lime gelatin into a clean glass mixing bowl. Add 2 cups hot water; stir for 2 minutes or until gelatin is completely dissolved.
- Using a colander, drain the pears and reserve the juice.
- Add 3/4 cup cold water and the pear juice (should be around 3/4 cup of juice) to the gelatin mixture; stir.
- Chop pears into bite-sized segments and gently stir them into the gelatin. Refrigerate until the gelatin is fully set.
- Use a large spoon and stir the gelatin until it is in small clumps. Stir in whipped topping. Serve.
- Refrigerate leftovers.

This is my daughter in law's recipe. When we have our family gatherings I always ask her to bring this recipe. It is so good and the whole family enjoys it so much. It is also pretty to serve.

- 1. Heat 1 cup of the pear juice that is in the can with pears to boiling. Remove from heat and add Jell-O; set aside. Place whole pears in the bottom of your dish. If you want to add nuts sprinkle them over pears.
- 2. In a mixer, mash cream cheese and Cool Whip together and then add Jell-O and pour over whole pears that you have lined in bottom of a pretty bowl. (I use my glass bowl that I would serve it in) Chill overnight.
- 3. Slice and serve over lettuce with your meal. Or just cut in squares and serve alone without lettuce.
- 4. Note: You can also make this recipe in a Jell-O mold.
