2 cups sugar
3 large eggs, room temperature
1 carton (15 ounces) ricotta cheese
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
FROSTING:
1/4 cup butter, softened
3 to 4 cups confectioners' sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 to 4 tablespoons 2% milk
Colored sprinkles

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Add the eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in ricotta and vanilla. Combine flour, salt and baking soda; gradually add to creamed mixture. , Drop by tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned. ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
¼ cup whole milk
3 large eggs
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract

3 ½ tablespoons water
½ cup colored candy sprinkles

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a large cookie sheet.
  • Whisk together sugar, butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla in a large bowl until blended.

1/2 c butter
2 Tbsp shortening
6 eggs
1 1/4 c sugar
3/4 c milk
2 Tbsp oil
2 Tbsp anise (or your favorite extract)
6 c flour
6 Tbsp baking powder
pinch of salt
ICING
1 lb powdered sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 c milk

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350* Melt butter & shortening; cool. Beat eggs, stir in sugar, milk, oil & extract. Mix in butter/shortening mixture. Add flour, baking powder & salt, mix well. Dough should be soft but not sticky, add small amounts of flour if needed to reach a soft consistency.
  • 2. Roll dough into 1" balls and place on lightly greased baking sheet about 1" apart. Bake 12-15 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned, cool on racks.
  • 3. Icing: Mix powdered sugar, vanilla extract & milk until smooth. I use my food processor to mix the icing, it comes out smooth and silky! Glaze with icing and sprinkle with colored sprinkles or jimmies.
