Time 5m

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 oz amaretto disaronno
1 1/2 oz tequila reposado
1/2 oz grand marnier or cointreau
1 oz lime juice, freshly squeezed

Steps:

  • 1. Use the squeezed lime shell to moisten the rim of the glass, then dip into sugar to coat the rim.
  • 2. Put all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with some ice and shake until frosty. Strain into the prepared glass.
  • 3. You can also make this frozen but add a bit more Amaretto so the taste doesn't get diluted. Sometimes I use Amaretto to moisten the rim instead of lime.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients: This will make a big difference in the flavor of your margarita. Look for ripe tomatoes, fresh basil, and good quality tequila.
  • Make your own simple syrup: It's easy to do and it will give your margarita a more balanced flavor. Plus, you can control the sweetness level.
  • Chill your glasses before serving: This will help keep your margarita cold and refreshing.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge: This is a classic garnish that adds a pop of color and flavor to your margarita.
  • Experiment with different variations: There are endless ways to customize your margarita. Try adding different fruits, herbs, or spices to create your own unique flavor combinations.
