Tips:

  • Choose the right fish: For this recipe, a firm-fleshed fish like salmon, cod, or halibut works best. These fish can withstand the baking process without becoming dry or overcooked.
  • Use fresh spices: Freshly ground spices will give your fish the most flavor. If you don't have a spice grinder, you can use pre-ground spices, but be sure to use them within a few months for the best flavor.
  • Don't overcrowd the baking sheet: Make sure to leave some space between the fish fillets on the baking sheet so that they can cook evenly.
  • Cook the fish until it is just cooked through: The fish is done cooking when it is opaque throughout and flakes easily with a fork. Don't overcook the fish, or it will become dry and tough.
  • Serve the fish immediately: Baked fish is best served immediately after it is cooked. You can garnish it with fresh herbs or a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.

Conclusion:

Indian spiced baked fish is a healthy and delicious dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. The fish is cooked in a flavorful marinade of yogurt, spices, and herbs, and then baked until it is tender and flaky. You can serve the fish with rice, vegetables, or your favorite sides.
