Number Of Ingredients 3
Steps:
- 1. Bring water to a rolling boil.
- 2. Add tea & remove from heat. Cover with lid & steep for 10 minutes (or until all the good is out of the tea)
- 3. Strain & add sugar while tea is still hot.
- 4. Cool, pour into glass jar with tight fitting lid. Store in refrigerator.
- 5. Note: This recipe can be doubled using 5 lbs of sugar.
Tips:
- Use fresh ingredients. Fresh fruits and herbs will give your iced tea syrup the best flavor.
- Choose the right sweetener. You can use sugar, honey, or agave nectar to sweeten your syrup. Choose the sweetener that you prefer the taste of and that works best with the other ingredients you are using.
- Don't boil the syrup. Boiling the syrup will make it too thick and syrupy. Instead, simmer it over low heat until it has thickened slightly.
- Let the syrup cool completely before using it. This will help the flavors to develop and meld together.
- Store the syrup in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Conclusion:
Iced tea syrup is a delicious and versatile way to add flavor to your favorite iced tea. It's easy to make and can be customized to your own taste preferences. With a little creativity, you can use iced tea syrup to create a variety of refreshing and flavorful drinks.
