¼ cup corn starch
2 eggs

¾ cup Italian bread crumbs
½ cup Panko bread crumbs

Steps:

  • Open the cheese strings and cut each in half. Cover and place in the freezer for at least 2 hours or until completely frozen.

1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
4 cups Marinara Sauce, recipe follows
1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
2 small onions, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
2 stalks celery, finely chopped
2 carrots, peeled and finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon sea salt, plus more to taste
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, plus more to taste
2 (32 ounce) cans crushed tomatoes

Steps:

  • Stir the bread crumbs, 1 cup of Parmesan and 1 teaspoon of salt in a medium bowl to blend. Dip the cheese in the eggs to coat completely and allow the excess egg to drip back into the bowl. Three 10-ounce bricks sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded cold then left at room temperature
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Dash of garlic powder
Cooking spray

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
  • Put the softened cheese and butter in the bowl of a heavy-duty electric mixer. Using the heaviest mixer paddle attachment, beat until the mixture has the consistency of whipped cream, 15 to 30 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, sift 3 cups of the flour with the salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper and garlic powder.
