WINTER CITRUS SALAD WITH HONEY DRESSING

Winter Citrus Salad with Honey Dressing image

This citrus salad requires only that you overcome the notion that salads must be green; it's a novel and wonderful antidote to sorry-looking lettuce. If you're lucky and can find blood oranges, use them; same with the odd, supremely delicious and usually quite pricey pomelos.

Tips:

  • Use fresh citrus juice: Freshly squeezed citrus juice will give your dressing a brighter, more flavorful taste than bottled juice.
  • Choose a good quality honey: The type of honey you use will also affect the flavor of your dressing. Look for a honey that is raw and unfiltered, as these honeys will have a more complex flavor than processed honeys.
  • Use a variety of citrus fruits: Don't be afraid to mix and match different types of citrus fruits in your dressing. This will give your dressing a more complex flavor profile.
  • Add some herbs or spices: To add even more flavor to your dressing, try adding some fresh herbs or spices. Some good options include thyme, rosemary, basil, oregano, or black pepper.
  • Taste your dressing as you go: The best way to make sure your dressing is perfect is to taste it as you go. Adjust the proportions of the ingredients until you find a flavor balance that you enjoy.

Conclusion:

Honey and citrus dressing is a versatile and delicious dressing that can be used on a variety of dishes. It is perfect for salads, grilled meats, and fish. It can also be used as a marinade or dipping sauce. With its bright and tangy flavor, honey and citrus dressing is sure to please everyone at your table.
