Time 5m

Yield 1 1/2 cups

Number Of Ingredients 8

125 g cream cheese
1 tablespoon sour cream
1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon fresh oregano, chopped
1/4 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped
2 green shallots, chopped
1 teaspoon lemon juice

Steps:

  • Blend or process all ingredients until smooth.
  • Store covered in refrigerator for at least 2 hours or preferably overnight before using to allow flavours to develop.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality cream cheese for the best results. Look for cream cheese that is smooth and spreadable.
  • Soften the cream cheese to room temperature before mixing it with other ingredients. This will make it easier to blend and will result in a smoother spread.
  • Use fresh herbs for the best flavor. If you don't have fresh herbs on hand, you can use dried herbs, but use about half the amount.
  • Don't overmix the spread. Overmixing can make the spread dense and crumbly.
  • Serve the spread immediately or store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Conclusion:

Herbed cream cheese appetizers are a delicious and easy-to-make snack or party food. They are perfect for any occasion, from casual get-togethers to formal events. With so many different herb combinations to choose from, you can easily tailor the spread to your own taste. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy appetizer, give these herbed cream cheese appetizers a try.
