1 large Jersey tomato (beefsteak)
Vegetable oil, for oiling skillet
8 slices Jersey pork roll, such as Taylor Ham (see Cook's Note)

Time 10m

Yield 1 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 eggs
1 slice turkey
1 slice baby swiss cheese
2 slices bread
1 teaspoon Miracle Whip
1/2 teaspoon dried dill
2 teaspoons margarine
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Lightly beat the eggs and fry them, seasoning to taste with salt, pepper, and dill. Remove to a plate.
  • Spread margarine on one side of each slice of bread. Spread the other side of one slice with Miracle Whip. Place that slice in a hot skillet.
  • Top bread slice with fried eggs, turkey, swiss, and second slice of bread - butter side up. Brown sandwich on both sides.

Tips:

  • Fresh Herbs: Use fresh herbs for the best flavor. If you don't have fresh herbs, you can use dried herbs, but use half the amount.
  • Quality Bread: Choose a good quality bread that is sturdy enough to hold the sandwich together.
  • Cook the Eggs to Your Liking: You can cook the eggs to your desired doneness. For a runny yolk, cook for 3-4 minutes. For a firmer yolk, cook for 5-6 minutes.
  • Use Good Cheese: Use a good quality cheese that melts well. Cheddar, mozzarella, and Gruyère are all good choices.
  • Add Extras: You can add other ingredients to your sandwich, such as bacon, sausage, or avocado.

Conclusion:

The Herbed Breakfast Sandwich is a delicious and easy-to-make breakfast that is perfect for busy mornings. It is packed with flavor and nutrients, and it will keep you satisfied until lunchtime. With its simple ingredients and quick preparation time, this sandwich is a great option for anyone who wants a tasty and healthy breakfast.
