HERBED BURGER PATTIES

Herbed Burger Patties image

We make our burger patties from scratch rather than buying the pre-made supermarket variety, as they're too salty for me. This recipe ramps up the flavour by trading the salt for a variety of either fresh or dried herbs instead. These are good on turkish breadrolls or ciabatta rolls with salad of your choice.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients: The better the ingredients, the better the burgers will taste. Look for ground beef with a high fat content (at least 20%) for juicy burgers.
  • Season the beef patties liberally: Don't be afraid to add plenty of herbs, spices, and seasonings to the beef patties. This will give them tons of flavor.
  • Handle the beef patties gently: Overworking the beef patties will make them tough. Mix the ingredients just until they are combined, then form the patties gently.
  • Cook the beef patties over medium heat: This will help them cook evenly and prevent them from drying out.
  • Don't flip the beef patties too often: Flipping the beef patties too often will make them tough. Flip them once, when they are cooked about halfway through.
  • Let the beef patties rest before serving: This will help them retain their juices and make them more flavorful.

Conclusion:

These herbed beef patties are a delicious and easy-to-make weeknight meal. They are packed with flavor and can be served on their own, with a bun, or on a salad. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a delicious and satisfying meal that the whole family will love.
