2 lbs extra lean ground beef
1 1/2 cups onions, chopped
1 cup green pepper, chopped
2 cups spaghetti sauce
2 tablespoons Italian spices
8 ounces turkey pepperoni, chopped
2 cups low-fat cheddar cheese, shredded (can substitute mozzerella)
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
3 egg whites
1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
2 egg yolks
1 teaspoon Splenda sugar substitute
1 pinch salt
2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
3 ounces fat free cream cheese, softened

Steps:

  • Filling:Brown ground beef, onion and peppers in a large frying pan.
  • Add sauce and spices.
  • Pour into a greased 9x13-inch casserole pan.
  • Arrange pepperoni slices over beef mixture.
  • Cover with mozzarella.

1 Tbsp olive oil
1 9.4 oz pkg turkey sausage, chopped coarsely.
1/4 lb fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 8 oz can lower sodium tomato sauce
1/2 tsp oregano, dried
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp each, salt and pepper
1 13.8 oz can refrigerated pizza dough, like pillsbury
12 slice reduced-fat mozzarella cheese
1/4 c reduced-fat, grated parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Heat oven to 425. Spray a 9" x 13" baking pan w/ cooking spray.
  • 2. In lg skillet, over high heat, add oil. Add sausage and mushrooms. Cokk, stirring for 4-5 mins. Stir in tomato sauce, oregano, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Cook until heated through.
  • 3. Unroll pizza dough and press into bottom and 1/2 way up the sides of pan. Line bottom crust w/ 6 slices mozzarella cheese. Top w/ sausage mix. Bake, uncovered 12 min. Top w/ remaining slices of mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle w/ parmesan cheese. Bake 5 min, or until cheese melts.
