I like this recipe because it uses NO OIL, making it the most guilt-free french fries recipe that I know of. It has been scaled down for 1-2 people. Try adding ground red pepper if you like your fries spicy.

Tips:
- Choose the right potato: Russet potatoes or Yukon Gold potatoes are best for oven fries because they're firm and have a high starch content, which helps them crisp up in the oven.
- Cut the potatoes into even-sized pieces: This will help them cook evenly. Aim for pieces that are about 1/2-inch thick and 3 inches long.
- Soak the potatoes in cold water: This will help remove excess starch, which can make the fries gummy.
- Dry the potatoes thoroughly: Before tossing them with oil and seasonings, make sure the potatoes are completely dry. This will help them crisp up in the oven.
- Use a high-quality olive oil: Olive oil is a healthy and flavorful choice for oven fries. Make sure to use extra-virgin olive oil for the best flavor.
- Season the fries well: Don't be afraid to experiment with different seasonings. Some popular options include salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and chili powder.
- Bake the fries at a high temperature: This will help them crisp up quickly and evenly. Aim for a temperature of 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Flip the fries halfway through cooking: This will help them cook evenly on all sides.
- Serve the fries hot and crispy: Oven fries are best enjoyed immediately after they're cooked. Serve them with your favorite dipping sauce.
Conclusion:
Oven fries are a delicious and healthy alternative to deep-fried fries. They're easy to make and can be customized to your liking. With a few simple tips, you can make perfect oven fries every time.
