HEALTHY CRANBERRY GRANOLA BARS

Healthy Cranberry Granola Bars image

Ever look at the ingredients on a granola box and think how this healthy treats seems to have a tad too many chemicals? Making your own granola bars and such is easy as it can get. You can also take away or add more nuts, take away the cranberries or add something else. Nuts can be crushed or chopped. Also, if you want to go vegan you can replace the honey with molasses or maple syrup. I have yet to experiment further with it since what I make already is awesome.

Tips:

  • Use fresh or frozen cranberries: Fresh cranberries are available in the fall and early winter, while frozen cranberries are available year-round. If using frozen cranberries, thaw them before using.
  • Chop the cranberries finely: This will help them distribute evenly throughout the granola bars.
  • Use old-fashioned oats: Old-fashioned oats are chewier and have more flavor than quick-cooking oats.
  • Add nuts and seeds for extra crunch and flavor: Some popular options include almonds, walnuts, pecans, chia seeds, and flax seeds.
  • Use honey or maple syrup as a natural sweetener: These sweeteners are healthier than refined sugar and add a delicious flavor to the granola bars.
  • Press the granola bars firmly into the pan: This will help them hold together better.
  • Let the granola bars cool completely before cutting them: This will help them set and prevent them from crumbling.

Conclusion:

These healthy cranberry granola bars are a delicious and nutritious snack that is perfect for on-the-go. They are made with simple, wholesome ingredients and are packed with flavor. Whether you are looking for a quick breakfast, a post-workout snack, or a healthy dessert, these granola bars are sure to satisfy your cravings.
