Tips

  • Use a thick-cut ham steak for the best results. If your steak is on the dünne side, you can pound it out with a meat mallet until it's about 1/2-inch thick.
  • Score the ham steak on both sides to help it cook evenly.
  • Use a variety of seasonings to flavor the ham steak. In this recipe, we're using onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. You can also use other spices, such as cumin, oregano, or chili powder.
  • Sear the ham steak in a hot skillet until it's browned on both sides. This will help to lock in the juices and flavor.
  • Reduce the heat to low and cook the ham steak for 10-15 minutes per side, or until it's cooked through. The internal temperature of the ham steak should reach 140 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Serve the ham steak with your favorite sides. In this recipe, we're serving it with mashed potatoes and green beans.

Conclusion

Hawaiian ham steak is a quick, easy, and delicious meal that's perfect for a weeknight dinner. It's also a great way to use up leftover ham. With its sweet and savory flavor, this dish will be a hit with your family and friends. Be sure to serve it with your favorite sides for a complete meal.
