HAMBURGER POT PIE
This is a pure and simple comfort food without any pretense. When the sports seasons took over, my mum had to resort to easy calories to get our large family through each night. This one wins with kids of all ages, and is ultimately a decent base recipe for comfort food experimentation.

Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 350. Brown beef with chopped onion. Drain grease and add the chicken cube, pepper and thyme. Let that incorporate into the beef. You won't need salt with this because of the soups.
- 2. Mix in your two cans of soup and softened cream cheese. Once warmed through add your veggies and heat through well. My veggies consist of peas, carrots, corn and green beans.
- 3. Spray a 9 X 13 casserole dish with non stick spray and dump your meat mixture into it.
- 4. Unfold your pastry sheet on a flat, dry surface. I use a pizza cutter to cut my dough. Here you can get creative. I just cut strips and do a braided lattice on top of my meat mixture. That's it y'all. Pop it in the oven until the pastry is golden. Maybe about 10-15 minutes. Enjoy!!
