Tips:

  • Choose the right ground beef: Opt for lean ground beef (at least 80% lean) to reduce excess grease and calories. If you prefer a more flavorful dish, you can use a higher fat content ground beef, such as 85% lean or 90% lean.
  • Use a large skillet or pot: This will ensure that the beef and noodles have enough space to cook evenly and prevent overcrowding.
  • Brown the beef thoroughly: Cook the beef until it is no longer pink in the center. This will help to develop its flavor and prevent it from becoming tough.
  • Drain the excess grease: After browning the beef, drain off any excess grease to reduce the fat content of the dish.
  • Use a flavorful broth: Choose a broth that complements the flavor of the beef, such as beef broth, chicken broth, or vegetable broth. You can also use water, but the broth will add more flavor to the dish.
  • Season the dish to taste: Add salt, pepper, and other seasonings to taste. You can also add a packet of dry onion soup mix or ranch dressing mix for extra flavor.
  • Cook the noodles according to the package directions: Add the noodles to the pot with the beef and broth and cook according to the package directions.
