1 jar (12 oz) fat-free beef gravy
1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram leaves
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 1/3 cups water
2 tablespoons light stick butter
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/3 cup low-fat (1%) milk
1 cup Betty Crocker™ mashed potatoes
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Steps:

  • In 12-inch nonstick skillet, cook beef and onion over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is thoroughly cooked; drain.

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 onion, diced
1 leek, thinly sliced
2 carrots, peeled and diced
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 cup beef broth
1 cup dark stout beer*
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves
1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
1 bay leaf
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 cup frozen peas
2 pounds russet potatoes, peeled and quartered
4 cloves garlic
1/2 cup half and half*
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • To make the garlic mashed potatoes, place potatoes and garlic in a large stockpot or Dutch oven and cover with cold water by 1 inch. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes; drain well and return to the stockpot. Stir in half and half and butter. Using a potato masher, mash until smooth and creamy; set aside. Heat olive oil in a large stockpot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Season beef with salt and pepper, to taste. Add beef to the stockpot and cook until evenly browned, about 2-3 minutes; set aside. 1 onion, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 lb ground beef
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 c butter
1/4 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 c milk
4 potatoes, peeled and cubed
1/4 c milk
1 Tbsp butter

Steps:

  • 1. Put the onions, garlic, and ground beef in a large skillet.
  • 2. Cook until ground beef is no longer pink.
  • 3. Drain excess fat, then add salt and peppers.
  • 4. Remove to a separate bowl.
  • 5. Melt butter in the skillet.
  • 6. Add flour, salt and pepper.
  • 7. Cook, stirring constantly over low heat for about two minutes.
  • 8. Do not allow to burn.
  • 9. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly after each addition and allowing to boil before adding more.
  • 10. This results in a smooth sauce.
  • 11. When all milk has been added, continue to stir constantly and bring to a boil.

½ Tbsp garlic ((minced))

2 Tbsp beef stew seasoning
4 ribs celery ((washed and sliced))
5 large carrots ((washed and sliced))
6 medium russet potatoes ((washed and diced))
4 cups beef broth
2 bay leaves
2 Tbsp all-purpose flour ((+ equal amount cold water, to make a slurry))
1 Tbsp Worcestershire
additional veggies ((green beans (or mixed veggies), corn, parsnips))

Steps:

  • Heat the olive oil in a large stock pot over medium heat. Once hot, add the onions and saute for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
