1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 teaspoons minced fresh gingerroot
1 teaspoon reduced-sodium beef bouillon granules
3/4 cup water
1/3 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
CHOP SUEY:
1 pound lean ground beef (90% lean)
2 celery ribs, sliced
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
1 medium green pepper, sliced
1 medium sweet red pepper, sliced
1 medium onion, halved and thinly sliced
1 can (14 ounces) bean sprouts, drained
1 can (8 ounces) sliced water chestnuts, drained
1 cup fresh spinach, torn
3 cups hot cooked rice

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the cornstarch, ginger and bouillon; stir in water and soy sauce until blended. Set aside., In a large nonstick skillet or wok, stir-fry the beef, celery, mushrooms, peppers and onion until meat is no longer pink and vegetables are tender. Drain. 1 1/2 lb lean ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1/4 tsp pepper
28 oz can chow mein vegetables,undrained
1 small can chopped water chestnuts, drained
16 oz can bean sprouts, undrained
10 oz can cream of mushroom soup
10 oz can cream of chicken soup
10 oz water , using soup can
1 c uncooked rice
3 Tbsp soy sauce, low sodium
3 oz can chow mein noodles,for crunch

Steps:

  • 1. Lightly brown beef and onions together in a skillet. Using a 4-quart baking dish, combine the vegetables, soup, water,rice,pepper,bean sprouts, water chestnuts,and soy sauce.. Stir in prepared meat mixture. Cover the dish and bake at 350^ for 1 hour and 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, adding water if necessary. Uncover and sprinkle with the noodles. 3 tablespoons butter
1 medium yellow onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, stemmed, seeded, and chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 pound ground beef
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Kosher salt
1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 (14.5-ounce) can tomato sauce
1/4 cup tomato paste
2/3 cup tomato juice
Pinch of sugar
1 pound elbow macaroni

Steps:

  • 1. Heat the butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onion and bell pepper and cook, stirring occasionally, until soft, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook, stirring, for about 1 minute. Then add the ground beef and continue to cook, stirring and breaking up the chunks of meat with a spoon. Cook until the meat is no longer pink, about 7 minutes. Sprinkle the herbs and pepper over the meat, add salt to taste, and mix in well.
