Grilled Mustard-Beer Bratwurst With Toasted Garlic Buns image

I make these on my outdoor BBQ, they are very good and the beer/mustard sauce makes these brats special! The complete recipe may be doubled if desired. Cooking time is for grilling time. Fully-cooked brats only for this recipe to keep cooking time to a minimum, uncooked will need a longer cooking time.

Tips:

  • Choose high-quality brats: Look for brats that are made with fresh, high-quality meat and spices. Avoid brats that are overly processed or contain fillers.
  • Use a flavorful marinade: The marinade is what will give your brats their delicious flavor. Be sure to use a marinade that contains a variety of spices and herbs. Some good options include honey mustard, barbecue sauce, or beer.
  • Grill the brats over medium heat: This will help to prevent them from burning on the outside while still cooking them through on the inside. Be sure to rotate the brats regularly so that they cook evenly.
  • Baste the brats with the marinade: This will help to keep them moist and flavorful. Use a pastry brush to baste the brats every few minutes during grilling.
  • Cook the brats until they reach an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit: You can use a meat thermometer to check the temperature of the brats. Once they reach 160 degrees Fahrenheit, they are safe to eat.

Conclusion:

Grilling brats is a delicious and easy way to enjoy a summer cookout. By following these tips, you can make sure that your brats are cooked to perfection and full of flavor. Serve your grilled brats with your favorite toppings, such as sauerkraut, onions, and mustard. Enjoy!
