Tips:

  • Choose ripe peaches: Select peaches that are slightly soft to the touch and have a sweet aroma. Avoid peaches that are too firm or have bruises or blemishes.
  • Prepare the marinade: In a bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, honey, olive oil, garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper. The marinade adds a delicious sweet and tangy flavor to the peaches.
  • Marinate the peaches: Place the peach halves in a single layer in a shallow dish or baking sheet. Pour the marinade over the peaches. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight. This allows the peaches to absorb the flavors of the marinade.
  • Grill the peaches: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Brush the grill grates with oil to prevent the peaches from sticking. Remove the peaches from the marinade and grill for 5-7 minutes per side, or until grill marks appear and the peaches are slightly caramelized.
  • Serve immediately: Grilled balsamic peaches are best served immediately. You can serve them on their own as a dessert or as a side dish with grilled meats, fish, or poultry.

Conclusion:

Grilled balsamic peaches are a delicious and easy summer treat. They are perfect for a quick dessert or a refreshing snack. The combination of sweet peaches, tangy balsamic vinegar, and savory herbs creates a flavor that is both unique and unforgettable. So next time you have ripe peaches on hand, be sure to try this recipe. You won't be disappointed!
