5 cups frozen peas (about 20 ounces), thawed
1 celery rib, chopped
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup chopped onion
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 package (6 ounces) stuffing mix

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Mix first six ingredients; transfer to a greased 11x7-in baking dish. Prepare stuffing mix according to package directions. Spread over pea mixture. Bake, uncovered, until lightly browned, 20-25 minutes.

1 pound sliced fresh mushrooms
6 cups frozen peas, thawed (about 2 pounds)
1 can (10-1/2 ounces) condensed cream of celery soup, undiluted
1/2 cup whole milk
1 package (2.80 ounces) french-fried onions

1 cup chopped cauliflower
1 cup sliced carrots
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 pound frozen peas, thawed
1 onion, chopped
1 cup green beans
½ cup chopped green bell pepper
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided

Steps:

  • Place a steamer insert into a saucepan and fill with water to just below the bottom of the steamer. Bring water to a boil. Add cauliflower and carrots, cover, and steam until tender, 4 to 6 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir flour into butter to make a smooth mixture; cook for 1 minute. 1 (2 ounce) bottle diced pimento peppers, drained
1 (5 ounce) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup
½ cup chopped onion
½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese
2 cups crushed buttery round crackers
½ cup margarine, melted

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

2 cans (15 oz each) LeSueur® very young small early peas, drained
1 can (2.8 oz) french fried onion rings

I made this recipe up as I went along. I needed a side dish for Bunco. It was a huge hit and recipe request all around.Thought I would share it here.:-)

3 (14 ounce) bags frozen green peas
1 large sweet onion, diced
1/2 cup butter, divided (3/4 lb.)
1/2 cup flour
2 1/2 cups chicken broth
8 ounces button mushrooms
8 ounces reduced-fat cream cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
1/2 teaspoon cajun seasoning
1/2 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 loaf French bread (day old)
1/2 cup parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Thaw the peas under running water.
  • In large sauce pan melt 2 sticks of butter and sauté the onion (Vidalia if possible) until tender, but not brown. Sprinkle in the flour and whisk until well blended. Slowly add the chicken broth and whisk all the time. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Add cut up cream cheese and whisk until smooth and melted. Add mushrooms and all seasonings. Taste and adjust if needed. Over lowest heat cook 5-10 minutes. Add the thawed peas and fold together.
  • Process the French bread into crumbs (food processor). Add 1/2 the crumbs to the pea mixture and fold together. Pour into 9x12 casserole dish. (It will be very full).
  • Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes until bubbly. Remove from oven, but do not turn off! Sprinkle with topping:.
  • Topping:.
  • Melt the remaining stick of butter and combine with remaining bread crumbs. Add 1/2-3/4 Parmesan cheese (cheddar or Swiss would also be good).
  • Return to oven until topping is golden brown 10-15 more minutes.

1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom & garlic soup (this should read Cream of Mushroom Soup with Roasted Garlic but it would not accept it)
1 cup sour cream (8 oz)
3/4 cup cheddar cheese, grated
1/3 cup cheddar cheese, grated (I used 4 cheese Mexican blend but it would not accept that)
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup Ritz cracker, crushed
ground cayenne pepper (optional)

Steps:

  • Mix soup, sour cream and 1/3 cup 4 cheese Mexican blend and salt together.
  • Fold in peas.
  • Spread into an 8X8 inch baking dish.
  • Sprinkle with 3/4 cup cheddar cheese.
  • Mix melted butter with cracker crumbs.
  • Spread over top of cheese.
  • Sprinkle Cayenne pepper over the top if using.
  • Bake at 350 Degrees until bubbly and golden brown, about 30 minutes.
