My Grandma was a very good Cook, and I have always made My Meatloaf Like Her. maybe add a thing or two extra at times, just to be different, This is her Basic recipe, Our Family Favorite.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 1/2 Lb ground beef
1/2 sleeve saltine crackers ( 1 cup crushed) or hi ho butter crackers
1/3 C water or beef broth
1 Med onion (chopped & diced)
1 lg egg
1 tsp sage, dried ground
add to taste; salt, pepper, & garlic pdr

Steps:

  • 1. Heat Oven @ 350 degrees In large Bowl, mix all the meatloaf ingredients together, Mix well, I use my hands. (its the best tool I own)
  • 2. In an Ungreased 13X 9 Pan, Form Mixture into a loaf 9" X 4" about 30 Min into Baking time, Cover top of this loaf with the Ketchup. Bake. . . 45 Min. Let set 5-8 Min before Slicing. Tip: ( you can use a bread pan, 9 X 4 but will take a bit longer to cook.) Bake @ 350 for 45 minutes.

1½ pounds ground beef
2 eggs
1 onion (chopped)
¼ cup ketchup
salt and pepper (to taste)
1 cup oatmeal
1 (10oz) can tomato soup (divided)
2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce (divided)
2 Tablespoons brown sugar

Steps:

  • Pre heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Spray a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan with non stick cooking spray.
  • Stir beef, eggs, onion, ketchup, salt and pepper, oatmeal, 1/2 of tomato soup, and 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce with hands (it really is easier that way).
  • Mold and put into loaf pan.
  • Stir brown sugar, rest of Worcestershire sauce, and rest of soup and pour over top of loaf.
  • Bake for 90 minutes.

2 pounds ground beef (80% lean)
½ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup Italian-style bread crumbs
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon granulated onion
½ teaspoon kosher salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
2 tablespoons steak sauce (such as A.1.®)
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon brown sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

2 lbs ground chuck
4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup grated onion
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2 cups breadcrumbs
1 cup milk
1 cup tomato juice (for topping) or 1 cup ketchup (for topping)
