Tips:

  • Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and texture in your banana bread.
  • Mash the bananas thoroughly to ensure an even distribution throughout the batter.
  • If you don't have buttermilk, you can make your own by adding 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar to 1 cup of regular milk and letting it sit for 5 minutes before using.
  • Grease and flour your loaf pan thoroughly to prevent the banana bread from sticking.
  • Bake the banana bread until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Overbaking can dry out the bread.
  • Allow the banana bread to cool completely before slicing and serving. This will help it to hold its shape and prevent it from crumbling.
