3 tablespoons cocoa
1/2 cup evaporated milk or 1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup peanut butter (I use crunchy PB)
3 cups oatmeal (quick cooking)

Steps:

  • Combine butter, cocoa, sugar, and milk in a large saucepan.
  • Bring to a full boil, reduce heat and simmer for one minute stirring constantly.
  • Add vanilla and peanut butter mixing well.
  • Stir in oats.
  • Quickly drop onto waxed paper by the spoonful or desired amount.

  • Do not under or over cook ingredients in saucepan. Once oats are stirred in drop onto wax paper immediately. I do not suggest in double batching this particular recipe.

4 - eggs
1 1/2 cup(s) flour
1/3 cup(s) cocoa
1 teaspoon(s) baking powder
1 cup(s) coconut
1 cup(s) chopped nuts, my grandma always used either walnuts or pecans
ICING
1 stick(s) butter, melted
5 tablespoon(s) canned milk
1/2 cup(s) cocoa
1 1/2 teaspoon(s) vanilla
1 pound(s) powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients. Spread in greased 13x9 pan. Bake at 350 for 35-45 minutes.
  • Spread marshmallow creme on top of hot cake and swirl it with a butter knife.
  • Icing: mix all ingredients in a saucepan, low boil for about 3-5 minutes. pour over cake.

Tips:

  • Use softened butter: Softened butter is easier to mix and cream together with the sugar, resulting in a smoother and more consistent cookie dough.
  • Chill the cookie dough before baking: Chilling the cookie dough helps to firm it up and prevent it from spreading too much in the oven. This results in thicker, chewier cookies.
  • Use a cookie scoop to portion the dough: A cookie scoop helps to ensure that all of the cookies are the same size and shape, which will help them bake evenly.
  • Bake the cookies until the edges are golden brown: The cookies are done baking when the edges are golden brown and the centers are set. Overbaking the cookies will make them dry and crumbly.
  • Let the cookies cool completely before serving: The cookies will continue to cook as they cool, so it's important to let them cool completely before serving. This will help them to set and firm up.
