12 plums, halved and pitted

1⁄2 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons unsalted butter
3⁄4 cup sugar
1 1⁄2 tablespoons white flour
1⁄2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • READY IN: 55mins SERVES: 8-10 Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix 1 1/4 cup flour, baking powder, 2 tsp sugar, and salt and sift once. Cut 1/2 cup butter into dry mix with a pastry blender to pea size. 4 1/4 cups white flour, divided
1 (1/4 ounce) package active dry yeast
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup unsalted butter
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
2 eggs
1 cup walnuts, finely chopped
ground cinnamon, for sprinkling on dough

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix 3 cups flour, yeast, salt and sugar well.
  • In a saucepan, heat milk, vanilla, and 1/2 cup butter slightly until butter melts. Cool with an ice cube.
