GINGER GLAZED MAHI

This is a great way to make fish. This will work with any dense fish like salmon or mahi mahi or even tuna. I like to do this in the winter when I can't get to my snow covered grill. A great wine to pair with this is a pinot noir--I'm partial to Schug.

4 (6 ounce) mahi mahi fillets
salt and pepper to taste

Tips:

  • Choose the right fish: Mahi mahi is a firm, flaky fish with a mild flavor that holds up well to glazing. If you can't find mahi mahi, you can substitute another firm, white fish such as cod, halibut, or tilapia.
  • Make sure the fish is fresh: The fresher the fish, the better it will taste. Look for fish that is firm to the touch and has a bright, clear color.
  • Use a light hand with the ginger: Ginger can be a strong flavor, so it's important to use it sparingly. A little bit of ginger goes a long way.
  • Don't overcook the fish: Mahi mahi is a delicate fish that can easily be overcooked. Cook it just until it is opaque in the center.
  • Serve the fish immediately: Ginger glazed mahi mahi is best served hot out of the oven. It can be paired with a variety of sides, such as rice, vegetables, or a salad.

Conclusion:

Ginger glazed mahi mahi is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. With its flaky fish and sweet and tangy glaze, this dish is sure to please everyone at the table. So next time you're looking for a quick and healthy dinner, give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
