Tips:
- Choose the right potatoes: Russet potatoes are the best choice for oven fries because they are starchy and have a high solids content, which means they will become crispy when baked.
- Cut the potatoes into even-sized pieces: This will help them cook evenly.
- Soak the potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before baking: This will help to remove excess starch and make the fries crispier.
- Toss the potatoes with olive oil, garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper: This will help to flavor the fries and make them crispy.
- Bake the fries at a high temperature (425 degrees F) for 20-25 minutes: This will help to create a crispy exterior and a fluffy interior.
- Shake the fries halfway through baking: This will help to ensure that they cook evenly.
- Serve the fries immediately with your favorite dipping sauce: Ketchup, ranch dressing, or garlic aioli are all popular options.
Conclusion:
Garlic Thyme Oven Fries are a delicious and easy-to-make side dish that is perfect for any occasion. They are crispy, flavorful, and addictive. So next time you are looking for a tasty and satisfying snack, give these fries a try. You won't be disappointed.
