AMAZING GINGER-GARLIC STEAK MARINADE

Amazing Ginger-Garlic Steak Marinade image

This marinade tenderizes the steaks and makes them absolutely delicious. You won't need steak sauce for this one! I will sometimes use it on a big London broil which I'll slice against the grain. The result is tender and really delicious. I never measure anything for this. It's hard to mess up. Prep time doesn't include time marinating in the fridge.

GARLIC GINGER SESAME MARINADE

Garlic Ginger Sesame Marinade image

I've been making this marinade for 25yrs. It's always, always a big hit. You can add whatever side you like, I've made coconut lime rice and then sliced up the mushrooms and added into the rice. It's amazing. Great for grille parties with family and friends. I promise, this will be the star of the event. It's that good.

Time 5h30m

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 bottle soy sauce, low sodium
3/4 c olive oil, extra virgin
1 tsp sesame oil
1 c sugar
3 Tbsp black pepper
3 Tbsp sesame seeds
2-4 Tbsp fresh ginger minced
18 - 23 clove garlic
3-4 bunch scallions

Steps:

  • 1. Add liquids soy sauce, olive oil, and seasme oil.
  • 2. Then add dry ingredients, sugar, and black pepper, mix well. it will take a while for the sugar to disolve.
  • 3. Then mince garlic, its usually 2-3 bulbs garlic for 18 cloves. Mince fresh ginger, and cut up scallions.
  • 4. Add whatever meat you'd like, it works great for chicken, shrimp, steak, and if you'd prefer vegetables, it works. It's amazing with portobello mushrooms. Pictured above. Let marinade for 2 - 12hrs. Depending on how seasoned you would like your meat or veggies. Reason I list 2 - 12 hrs. I've marinated 2 hrs for a more mild flavor and longer for an explosion of flavor. If marinating several different meats, they should all be in separate bowls.

Tips:

  • For the best flavor, use fresh garlic and ginger.
  • If you don't have fresh garlic and ginger, you can use 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder and 1/2 teaspoon of ginger powder.
  • You can use any type of oil in the marinade, but olive oil or sesame oil are good choices.
  • The longer you marinate the chicken, the more flavorful it will be. However, do not marinate the chicken for more than 24 hours, or the chicken will become tough.
  • When you are ready to cook the chicken, be sure to drain the marinade off the chicken before cooking.
  • You can cook the chicken in a variety of ways, such as grilling, baking, or frying.

Conclusion:

This garlic ginger marinade is a versatile and delicious way to add flavor to chicken. It is perfect for a quick and easy weeknight meal or a special occasion dinner. Whether you are grilling, baking, or frying the chicken, this marinade will help you create a dish that is sure to please everyone at the table.
