FRUIT SALSA WITH PINEAPPLE AND MANGO

Fruit Salsa With Pineapple and Mango image

This recipe is very good. Serve it with chips, on top of fish, or just as a side dish. The heat balances the sweet tartness and the grilling brings out the complexity of the onion, jalapeno, and tomato. I came up with this recipe after not finding one that incorporated all of the flavors that I love. I use a grill basket so I leave everything in large pieces. The recipe calls for fresh pineapple and mango but you can use frozen in a pinch. We love this recipe and hope that you will too.

  • Add some heat: If you like your salsa with a little bit of a kick, add some chopped jalapeƱos or serrano peppers. You can also add a pinch of cayenne pepper or chili powder.
  • Balance the flavors: Be sure to taste your salsa before serving and adjust the seasonings as needed. You may need to add more lime juice, salt, or sugar to balance the flavors.
  • Serve chilled: Fruit salsa is best served chilled. This helps to keep the flavors bright and refreshing.
